I noticed one thing about my art that I have uploaded here: My Samus figure gets the most looks and favorites
So, because its been a long time since I sculpted that old Samus I decided to make a new one. As you can see. Like with my Full Hollow Ichigo click her picture to see more of her detailes.
With my old Samus I molded her armor but added the finer detailes with my technical pen. This time around I sculpted every last line that I had used my pen for on the old one. Sculpting her was a blast
Oh yeah, she isn't finished yet either. I mean aside from the obvious, paint, there are going to be two more figures added to this sculpture. I have finished the main large figure but I haven't made the third. I can't wait to post them, its a big action pose.
Thanks! Well, its a kind of clay. The material I use is called Green Stuff. Its a two part epoxy putty, it comes in strips of blue and yellow and you have to mix it together until green.

Anything I could carve really, the arms are some left over legs that I carved down. I think one of them was a spider-man leg. The body was the remanents of a male character, again, carved, and the legs were just something I found in my scrap draw.

This has me so immensely excited. Going ahead with the chess board then?
Oh! By the way, I'm thinking of trying my hand at sculpting too. Where do I start? I tinker about with Green Stuff for my warhammer from time to time to spruce it up, but I'm still wayyyyy too wet behind the ears.

Yes, I will be going ahead with the chess board I can't wait, either. But unfortunatley I'm going to be kinda out of all sculpting activities for a little while yet. It's a pretty long story, but what it boils down to is...somebody dropped a boulder on my hand, promptly fracturing three of my fingers. (Yes. This is the God's honest truth.)
I'm gonna have the whole story in my journal once I can type with both hands again.
As to where to start with sculpting: You should definitely try! And not give up, it takes a lot of dedication, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Here's one tip, start with making BIG things, out of Super Sculpy. After you get good at that, you can start scaling down into tinier and tinier stuff, until they're smaller then double A batteries.

I can sort of see some of the plastic colors from the armature underneath. What model did you use as a base?
